Job Description
Video surveillance solutions are ubiquitous and vital in maintaining accountability in our society today. They can serve as silent witnesses to a scene, act as a deterrent, and often simply serve as a means to reassure a property owner. Synology has been consistently innovating in the field of video surveillance, leveraging our storage expertise to build robust, feature-rich, and cost-effective solutions that are overseeing countless locations today. You’ll be joining an experienced team to build our next generation on-prem and cloud powered solutions.
You will:
- Develop video surveillance solutions on a cloud platform using security and privacy-first principles
- Participate in both front-end and back-end development processes
- Optimize the stability and performance of large-scale services
- Never settle for just a usable product by continuously looking for ways to enhance the user experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as PMs, designers, and QA to deliver a high-quality product
Requirements
You are expected to have:
- Proficiency with Golang, JavaScript, or C/C++ programming languages
- Experience with multi-threading or network programming
- Experience developing for Linux platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, whether you are working alone or as part of a team
- Genuine passion for learning new techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
We're targeting candidates with:
- Experience working with cloud computing or hybrid cloud software
- Experience working with data structures and database operations
- Proficiency using Vue JavaScript Framework
- Good understanding of Linux fundamentals and networking
- A fondness for automating everything and exploring new technical skills
